Slow-Pitch Softball League

Hitters' First ever slowpitch softball winter league is here. Enrollment closes on 11/24 and the first night of play will be 11/28. The league will be 9 weeks and consist of 10 teams of 2-5 players. It will be a co-ed league so each team is required to have at least one female participant. The fee is $250 and covers all cage time as well as adds to the pot for the $500 cash prize for the first place team. There will be cash prizes for the 2nd and 3rd place team as well. Games will take place on Tuesday nights with the first game starting at 6pm. Games will be 7 innings or 35 minutes (whichever comes first). The final game will finish around 9:40 PM. After 9pm, we will have open hitting in the cages until 10pm for all league participants. The schedule will be posted 11/25, the day after the end of enrollment. If a team fails to show up within 5 minutes after start time for a game they will forfeit that round. 

Following the 9 weeks will be a home run derby for all league participants. This event will cost 20 dollars and gets you at least one at bat and one drink ticket. Women participants will be given a distance boost of 2 (which is a 20% increase to exit velocity) to level the playing field. 

Then, to wrap it all up we will be hosting a tournament of champions, this tournament will consist of the top 5 teams in the league and be a double elimination event. More details coming soon.

The league will be run using our Hittrax system which is great because the system will handle all the fielding, throwing, base running, stat collection etc. Since it is run through the Hittrax, every participant will need to create a Player Profile. This can be done through the Hittrax app (further instructions on this available after signup). Pitching will be handled by our auto feed pitching machines. In lew of balls and strikes, every batter will get up to 5 pitches. If they get to pitch number 5 and dont swing, swing and miss, hit a foul ball or anything besides hit the ball into play, this will be an automatic out. There will also be a max of 2 home runs per person, every home run after will be an automatic out. A more in depth list of rules will be sent to each team prior to the start of league play.
